Often the children do not have the necessary German / English / French language skills to be able to integrate into the school to their native speaking classmates. Initial help is essential here, in order to reduce the integration period and prevent school failures. This will have a crucial impact on their attitude towards school and their future school results.

Grammar explanations:

The children do not know the basic concepts of grammar in German / English / French (the smaller ones do not know them even in their mother tongue). It is crucial to explain the basics in their native language and building on these stable foundations we can practice the grammar stuctures already in the foreign language. Otherwise it would be an almost unsurmountable task for them to understand new concepts in a language, which they are not confident in yet. As a result of this they can lose the rock underneath their feet and it will be the accumulating school failures, which will indicate that the child needs help. It is easier to prevent these unfavourable circumstances, but they can be reversed even if a largely problematic situation has already arisen.

Developing reading comprehension, spelling and help with the school subjects …

These are the areas in which the largest problems surface for Hungarian children going to foreign language school abroad. We can improve these skills effectively by interpreting texts starting from easier ones and approaching more difficult ones, with the help of explanations in Hungarian / the foreign language and aimed tasks (recognizing the structural elements of the sentence), with grammar and vocabulary development.

School subjects:

From grades 3 and 4 specific school subjects start to appear. This might cause serious difficulties if the Hungarian children have not learnt these subjects in the foreign language from the beginning. In such cases we help the children acquire the specific vocabulary, interpreting the texts of the school subject and with the schoolwork / homework if needed.

Language development:

For those children, who are learning English / German / French as a second (or even third) foreign language, we provide child-friendly language teaching. We spike their interests with fun activities appropriate for their age and language level. We use stunning, authentic teaching materials and colourful fun activities. Our main goal is the development of the communication skills, however we can effectively prepare our young students for several international language examinations as well.
